Project Description:

Henriette works at the Heart and Vascular Centre as a first-year cardiology resident. In her meta-analysis, she investigates whether the decreased left atrial strain is associated with the occurrence of atrial fibrillation. She is part of the persistent foramen ovale (PFO) closure working group in the clinic, therefore as a second project, she intends to conduct a randomized clinical trial on this topic. She aims to compare the effect of the high and low mesh density closure devices on the atrial strain and incidence of atrial fibrillation.
