Project Description:

Koppány Kocsis is a specialist in orthopedic-traumatology at Uzsoki Hospital, Orthopaedic and Trauma Department. He is currently working on a systematic review and meta-analysis regarding the diagnostic accuracy of ultrasonography in the soft tissue injury of the ankle. His hypothesis is that ultrasound scan is non-inferior to magnetic resonance imaging for soft tissue injuries of the ankle. His second project will be a diagnostic accuracy network meta-analysis about the medial collateral ligament injury of the knee. Based on his results, ultrasound scans could be used as a cheap, easily accessible alternative. Since there is a lack of direct comparisons between ultrasound and MRI for diagnosis of knee injuries, as his third project, he aims to initiate a clinical trial to compare these two imaging methods. Lastly, he takes part in the education of orthopedics and traumatology for medical students.
