Project Description:

Péter works at the Department of Forensic Medicine at Semmelweis University. His main area of interest is forensic radiology. He performs a systematic review and meta-analysis on the diagnostic accuracy of post mortem imaging techniques, like post mortem magnetic resonance imaging or computed tomography scan compared to the gold standard autopsy. Imaging methods could represent a less time-consuming method. As a second project, he is planning to conduct a registry analysis, investigating the association between suicidal death cases and environmental factors, like changes in humidity or air pressure. Péter's hypothesis is that the change in a meteorological factor like temperature, air pressure, etc., shows association with the incidence of suicidal death cases. Based on his results targeted ads and suicide hotline availability could be improved.
