HERMES

Coeliac disease and inflammatory bowel disease
Gastroenterology

Autoimmune diseases, including celiac (CD) and inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), are frequently associated with an increased risk of thrombosis. It has been well demonstrated that alterations in hemorheological status can stimulate the development of thrombosis, however, no information is available on hemorheological status in these diseases.

HERMES, a prospective, cross-sectional study aims to determine the characteristics of  any possible alteration in haemorheologic parameters in CD and IBD patients.
