An initial injury results in myenteric plexus inflammation which can lead to an autoimmune response. Various therapeutic facilities are available. Decision between treatment options is difficult.

The purpose of the Achalasia Registry is to better understand the disease by following patients with achalasia. The aim of the registry is to more accurately recognize epidemiology, symptoms and pathogenesis of achalasia. Our goal is to get to know the national and international practice of diagnostic procedures and to measure and analyze the effectiveness of the applied therapy, helping to select the appropriate therapeutic procedure for patient care.
