RECORD Registry

Cardiology

The aim of the ReCoRD registry is to collect data prospectively on clinical characteristics and outcome of patients having undergone invasive coronary angiography and intracoronary pressure measurement. Patients included in our study underwent elective coronary angiography and had intracoronary pressure measurement.

Several clinical studies provided evidence that the diagnostic value of the widely used 2D angiography in the evaluation of coronary lesions and stenosis can be improved by physiological measurement. With the help of intracoronary pressure measurement, the ischemic importance of the stenosis can be specified. As a result, the culprit lesion can be more accurately identified so the angioplasty of insignificant stenosis can be avoided.

Using this database we undertake to analyze the usability of 3D reconstruction in recategorization. The 1-year outcomes of interventional (revascularization and repeated revascularization) and general outcomes (total mortality, cardiovascular mortality, myocardial infarction, stroke, bleeding events are associated with or independent of coronary surgical intervention not related to 3D modeling can be used in clinical decision making. A further objective of our study is to determine the predictive value of the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis and to investigate its correlation with the results of the clinical parameters. With the use of modeling based on parameters mentioned above we wish to assess the 3D modeling treatment protocol and its influence on the clinical outcome.
