Semmelweis University has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with more than 30 healthcare institutions, launching Hungary’s first hybrid resident-researcher program. The new model allows young doctors to complete their residency training and PhD studies in parallel, eliminating the need to choose between clinical work and a scientific career.

The initiative aims to strengthen the next generation of physician-scientists, support innovation, and improve the overall quality of patient care in Hungary.
